NICOLE FARHI CAFE

BAYSWATER: WHITELEYS & KIASU

Was at the carpark at Whiteley's in Bayswater. Came across two buckets of sand in case of a fire at a fire point... however, a closer look... the red buckets have been used as bins... Also noticed the 'laptop friend' sticker on one of them...
Then had dinner at a Malaysian/Singaporean Rstaurant called Kiasu. And I had my first Nasi Lemak in London... I had other food too, such as Chicken Satay, Carrot Cake (Dark), Mandarin Orange Juice, Pulut Hitam, Teh Tarik...

DENIM

sometimes on the tube... i observe what people around me are wearing, why they wear that, and what kind of personality would one have to pick the colours they pick, pick the style of clothes they picked and the type of accessories, etc... the other day.. on the tube, on Piccadilly line, i observe the different hues of denim one can see on a crowded carriage....
blue, indigo, black, faded, torn, etc...

TUBE THOUGHTS 1

Tube rides are great time for one to ponder... the other day... i was just looking at a gentleman (looked 43 years old) who was sitting diagonally across from me... and i wondered how he would looked like when he was just 3 years old, how much of his features would he have retained...
And today.. it was a crowded train on the District Line... i observed what kind of leg positions do the passengers have... As it was rather packed, my vision only took me as far as the row of seats facing me, rather than the entire carriage. The common positions are, either crossed, inverted knees, extremely opened legs (but mainly for some who had bags or luggages between their legs, or MEN), and some with knees away but ankle touching and crossed. After these observations, I begin to wonder what kind of personality do these positionings depict of the passenger... hmmmf...

BATTERSEA BRIDGE

Battersea Bridge was shut for a period of time in 2005... some silly boat went under it without checking out the height limit, and bashed into Battersea Bridge. The poor bridge was being restored, and the folks on either side of the river had to walked across the bridge to catch their other form of transport. No vehicles (apart from bicycles) were allowed on the bridge... I took these pictures as i thought "What a rare sight of london... felt like the movie, 28 Days. Also... it gave the feel that some catastrophic had happened"

KNIGHTSBRIDGE

Spent one afternoon in Knightsbridge hunting for the Austrian Embassy... and came upon these leafy houses and a majestic hotel. It was its high arch and black skeleton stairs that caught my attention...
